I have noticed a steady hiss when I connected my Rotel amp to the Outlaw's pre-outs. When not using the pre-outs all is quiet. It's not the amp as its dead silent when I use it in my two channel only system. It is really bugging me. The hiss does not get louder as you raise the volume, it just stays at a steady low sound. Anybody with any thoughts?

I used a 1050 with outboard Parasound amps for several months and didn't hear any hiss. Other than to suggest the problem is not likely inherent in the 1050, I haven't a clue as to the problem. All your connections good (including at the speakers)? Does hiss persist no matter what component you have on (or even if no components are on)?

Could be a ground loop creeping in somewhere -- I've struggled with that from time to time. I'd look at the possibility of power cords laying across interconnects, grounding issues at the wall, or noise coming in through the cable TV.

Same hiss here! I run the 1050 with a trio of Nad stero amps and have noticeable hiss from the rear surrounds. There is hiss in the other speakers but there are quite a distace away so not as noticeable. I have not done anything about it as of yet maybe a e-mail to Outlaw, otherwise I dont know.
