In the brownout that took out 1/2 the east coast I lost the outlaw amp to a power surge or something.

It won't turn on. I checked the fuse it was ok.

Do you think a local repair shop could fix it? I will return it to Outlaw if thats the best way to fix it.

The shipping is going to cost me a ton and I really don't trust UPS with a 50 pound reciever.

Whats the best thing to do? I miss my amp.

I'm not really sure about this one, but the best bet is to check with Outlaw (866-688-5292). It is possible that a reputable local shop can handle it (depending on what went wrong), but it wouldn't hurt to get some input from the manufacturer. For example, if the power supply's cooked, I'd have no idea how the shop would get a replacement PS unless they had some way to contact Outlaw for parts.
