Well I finally did it, I ordered my 950! Can't wait til it comes in. What has been the usual shipping (ground) times experienced? (FL here) I'm hooking it up to Adcom amps for now, 545 II (heavily modified), and a 2535 for now. Anyone else using adcom amps? Glad to belong to the "posse" !

Congratulations! It'll be coming from California, so I'd expect a week for ground shipping (maybe a day or two beyond that).

Good to hear, and welcome mkellym! Please post a full report once you get it installed! I do have a GFA 555 II, which I currently use to power my subs. I added a 770 for the rest of the speakers.

I love my 950. I have a GFA7500 into Axiom epic 80 system. I love it. I do get a little hiss, but they say they are working on it. I dont from my seating position, but a buddy that does A/V editing hears it (he cheats, gets like 2 foot from speakers). What did you do to the 545 to modify it. I was considering upgrading caps on the adcom when i got it, but it is so awesome i dont need to!

mkellym,

What speakers are your 545 II and your 2535 amplifiers driving?

Very good sound system mkellym,I have an Adcom 555 running my low end and a Carver 1.0t running on my horns. The Adcom has a lot of control and guts to drive my speakers to insane levels, not very good in highs!I am BI-amping my JBL Studio Monitors. And love my 1050...........

Well I received my 950 Wednesday. So far I'm not terribly impressed. Here are the problems so far.
1. My digital cable box uses both analog (rca), and digital (coax) for outputs. Analog on regular channels, digital on premium and pay per view. I have to manually switch the input source type on my 950 whenever I chang program material. ( my Onkyo a/v receiver I was using prior to this had auto detection.
2. The Remote, well sux, when using as a master commander. The source buttons at
The top pose a problem when wanting to control other devices. ie push CD button to control cd player and the 950 automatically switches to cd input.
3. I'm not as impressed with the Bass management yet. Thas was one of the main reasons That I chose the 950.
Frankly, it doesn't sound much better than when I was using the Onkyo as a preamp. I've only had it a few days and hope that my opinion will change. Any useful insight on my problems would be welcome

And
4. the screen on the 950 is far too small. I sit about 11 feet away, have excellent eye sight, and can't read it.
5. It doesn't have the volume as when I used the Onkyo. Is this how the got rid of the hiss... by lowering the output?
