Hello All,

Does anyone know what "major publication" was going to be publishing the December review of the 950? I believe it was mentioned in the last newsletter, but haven't seen it.

Also, I use my DVD player as a CD player and have it connected to the DVD Digital Optical input(for audio/soundtracks). Is it possible to pass through a video signal to my T.V. while listening to a CD (via the dvd input)? I have my satellite receiver connected to the SAT input via S-Video, then S-Video to Video 1 on my TV. I send my DVD video signal straight to the TV via component. Any thoughts?

I know that the next issue of the Perfect Vision will have it. Maybe another mag too.

Want to watch something other than the DVD player while listening to a CD in the DVD player? First step is to set up an audio input (CD, or one of the AUX inputs) so that it uses the digital input your DVD player is connected to. Then if you want to watch the satellite feed while listening to a CD, you simply switch to SAT and then to CD -- the 950 will use whatever video input was last selected for its video switching when you select an audio only source (tuner, CD, tape, AUX1, or AUX2).

I play a little game sometimes. Pop the CD in and spin the satellite channels.

Sometimes it can be a nifty match, as if I created my own DVD-A with a video.
Gant's Smoky Mountain CD with the sports channel following back county skiers.

Sometimes it is absolutely hilarious.
One night landed on Rappers (which I hate) moving in exact synchronization with their own cartoon graphics of charging around the country on a yacht and in limos. with women dancing on board and out the sunroof……to ‘All aboard the Marrakesh Express” Crosby Stills & Nash.

That takes me back to my high school days. We'd get baked on the way home, then crank up the stereo and watch TV. As you say, it was amazing how often the music hilariously synced with what was on the tube.

And I always thought you had to be stoned for that to work..unless..

Absolutly NOT. Not saying my HS days did not get bizare now and then. But I have teenage boys to set an example for now.

It can be VERY funny when utterly sober.....but then I'm locked into paperwork ALL the time. Maybe I'm just more easily amused....
