No problem, bossobass. I have KLF 20 and a KLFC7 for my front sound stage. I cross my 20s over at 60 HZ (they rate down to 34Hz or something like that) and my C7 at 100Hz (it rates at about 75 Hz on the low end).

Charlie- Area: yuppers. I have Def Tech BP-30's for my surrounds. 4 6.5" drivers per. Their -3 dB point is probably 30 Hz or so.

BoB- Me? Building a speaker? That's a good one...

I'm looking at rears. Have it narrowed to B&W DM601 S3, Acoustic Energy Aesprit 300C, Paradigm Mini Monitors, and a few others. They all have 6.5" mids/woofers that at least I'm trying to match the size with the BP-30's. (All 1" tweeters too.)

(Won't go with Def Tech, because I've seen some nasty freq response curves of the Pro Monitor 100/200 and Studio Monitor 350/450 with a hump at ~13.25 kHz.)

scott:

actually, after some thought, i would try this (as the cost and effort are very low):

set your surrounds to 'large'.
insert a pair of 50hz high pass FMOD at the surround amp
insert a pair of 100hz FMOD at the surround back amp
they're available from parts express (50hz=part # 266-270 and 100hz=part # 266-274, both at $25.90 a pair).

i don't know how they work, but i've used them and they work very well.
just a thought.

kevin: i looked up the aesprit 300c and they sure look good on paper! let me know, if you decide to purchase them, how they sound.

BossOBass- I think I've switched gears again:

Energy C-3's for the rear. Check out the freq response plot (and the review!):

http://www.soundstage.com/revequip/energy_c3.htm

I got there from www.audiovideoreviews.com. If you go to Loudspeakers, and you see the reviews with the NRC logo, they all have measurements from the National Research Council. You know, the famed place in Canada that helps with a lot of Canadian manufacturers R&D (Paradigm, PSB, Energy, etc.)
