On the Toshiba models you need to select "bitstream" for DD or DTS. Then make sure your 1050 is set to the correct digital input. You may also want to verify you are plugged in to the correct ports on both ends. You may also have to restart the disc you are testing with when you switch to bitstream. That should work. Let us know if it doesn't and we will brainstorm some more.
