Zacster has used the remote's JP1 interface to add macro capability. There's quite a bit of information about customizing the JP1-capable remotes at HiFi Remote . You'll need to make or buy a cable to connect the remote to your computer, to start with.

Actually, I've used JP1 on my Radio Shack remote. The Outlaw remote is made by the same manufacturer and has similar capabilities, using the same codes. I believe the Outlaw does have macro capabilities without the JP1, but programming it that way is tedious. I've never used the JP1 on the outlaw because the connector is too deep to reach from my cable. Other than that, I believe it would work.
