I was doing some digging for other comparable offerings vs. the Outlaw 950.

I noticed something while looking at the Sherbourne PT7000 vs. the Outlaw 950.

uhm, from the pictures, they're identical. The only difference I can find is the stickers on the back, other than that, port for port, they are labeled identically.

The same appears to be so for their 7/2100 vs. the Outlaw 770.

Are they really the same unit?

The Sherbourn is one of several clones of the Model 950 (Atlantic Technology also has a clone).

The description of the Sherbourn amp is significantly different from the Model 770, so I would expect that it is not related to the 770.

I spoke with Ron Fone about this piece (Mr. Sherbourn). He basically said that he contracted the piece from Eastech (same as Outlaw) and that according to him it had a thicker faceplate, wider video bandwidth, and slightly tighter specs. He also seemed to suggest it came with some sort of cables, but I wasn't clear about this. Price he said would be $1500, which means one could probably buy it for around $1299.

The Sherbourne appears to be the same as the 950 inside. It does not appear to be an upgrade to the 950. It does not seem to fix (even) minor problems in the 950. But we don't know anything for sure. We'll know for sure when it comes out.

Its the same inside! I would bet the ranch on this! Naturally, Outlaw can offer it substanially less since you are buying it direct, w/o all the overhead and dealer markups! I cant tell you how much I like mine and a bargain.
