I've got the exact same problem. Can't get sound out of anywhere. I've tried optical, coax, analog, (from several sources) and the test tones, and haven't heard a thing.

I've got a Parasound HCA 2003 for the front 3 channles, adcom 535II for rears, and a mackie m1400i for the sub. Sources I've tried are a Toshiba dvd player, Sony ld, cambridge audio cd player, and a Sony PS2.

Does your 950 cycle the test tones from speaker to speaker on the display? Mine stays on the left front with no sound.

It would be nice if Outlaw had a Hot line direct for the first few weeks of this new shipping period. Just so everyone who was having a problem like yours could talk to someone direct. And it would help out the factory to have a heads up to any production quality issues. I know when I hear your problem the first thing I think of is here we go again. But I am sure Scott will clear it all up Monday.

It's so hard to wait til Monday (sounding like a whining baby). Plus the process of unhooking everything just so I can watch TV this weekend. I knew I should have called out sick on Friday.

mtsmorse:

you could try the reset procedures outlined on page 45 of the manual. it doesn't seem to me to be the answer, but i sure would try it if i were in your shoes.

hope this helps...the sooner you power up, the sooner you will be smiling.

Actually, I called Outlaw yesterday and they overnighted me another unit, which I received this morning, and it's working great! My other unit did cycle the test tones, but I got no sound.

Spoke to Scott about 45 minutes ago and everything will be taken care of on Monday. Now that is great customer service, especially on a weekend!!

My 1st 950 had the exact same problem. They overnighted me another one, and it works great.

I'll be waiting on the new one tomorrow morning. Looks like it will be a 4 hour lunch break!!
