I have a 950/770 going in to B&W's new Series 3 LCR600 for front L/R/ center. Four definitive surrounds.

The hiss is very mild, volume dependent, and only audible at the listening position at the very highest volume levels (above THX standard). I'll get it fixed when Outlaw comes up with a fix, but if you came over and watched a movie you wouldn't know there was an issue.

The thing just kicks butt. The sound is amazing. Very crisp very detailed good soundstage.

Might also mention the quality of the video switching. I've got an HD receiver and a Sony 900ES going in to the 950 and then the 950 connected to the tv. The picture looks great (64" pioneer). I haven't tried to compare direct input, but I doubt I'm losing anything.

Of course, I too have a 950 in a, now, rather convoluted system with a pair of ICBMs. For movie playback, the 950 is excellent. Very dynamic, fast and detailed. It makes HT movie watching fun, all over again. For $900, it just can't be beat, IMO.

PS. - I too have some hiss but it is only audible 4 inches from the speaker. Still, I plan on also getting a fixed, updated unit when they are available.
