What cables do you suggest? what kind of connectors does the 1050 have?

I'm ordering my Vandersteen speakers & 1050

I presume that we're worrying about speaker cables here. The 1050 has 5-way binding posts for all six channels, so you can use most anything you want -- banana plugs, spades, bare wire, ...
