While programming the 10 device buttons on my MX500 remote, I had success except for the SAT button. Has anyone else had the same experience? Unfortunately on my 950, that's the most used device. This could be a deal killer. Othewise I like this remote a LOT.

Patrick, I have the mx500 and I have not had any problems learning my Directv Toshiba DST3000 commands under the SAT button. It sounds like it could be a problem with your remote. Have you tried to manually learn each button individually or have you just tried the preset codes? I'm sure we can figure this out.

I should clarify. The button in question is the device button on the MX500 that says SAT. It needs to learn the code from the 950 remote that also says SAT. There are no preprogrammed codes for the 950 in the MX500. I've already taught the MX500 other device codes like DVD, CD, TV etc. I even taught the MX500 "SAT" button to learn the code for the 950 TV device button. It's like the 950 isn't putting out any code from the SAT button.

That alone lowers the WAF.

I have the same problem teaching it the Video 1 button command from the Outlaw remote. Nothing I do will get it to work. All the other buttons I taught it are working fine, but not that one.

No problems here learning the Sat/Video1 button with my MX500. Try leaving the Sat button down longer when it is learning or some other variation on how long you press it. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get it right. Also, press AUD before learning to make sure the remote is in the right mode.

I thought the VIDEO/SAT button was a single funtion button and it put out one code no matter what mode you were in previously.
I'll try depressing the MX500 SAT button for different durations to see if that makes a difference.
