I've owned separates and everything in-between. This unit is above and beyond the price range. I'm so happy to be an outlaw.

Welcome aboard. I also have had seperates ( two channel) in the past. I was not sure if I wanted to go to a receiver or not. But after owning the 1050 for a year now, all I can say is I am very happy.
