Last year at Home Entertainment 2001 I walked into the Outlaw room in the Hilton and was met by friendly folks who informed that they were developping what eventually would become the 950. The rest has been history. The process that many of us have shared without really knowing each other has seemed run the full gamut of intellectual and emotional experience. I have often felt like a member of an anonymous fellowship, that has brought out the best and the worst in me in and many of us.

I am very much looking forward to attending the show again this year each day and possibly meeting some of you. The Outlaws said in their latest note that they would be there in force and would welcome us to their hideout.

I do hope that those of you who intend to come make it known on this thread, and with the assitance of the Outlaws make meetings possible.(I will be wearing a purple carnation in my Tuxedo - only kidding).

I'll be in da house. (I'll be the one with a firewire sticking out of my... well, never mind!)



Let's hope that the elevator situation is better than last year or that The Outlaws are located on a lower floor. See you there.

My HT (latest update 04/17/02) Now includes Outlaw 950 and Outlaw 755

Except for the elevator situation last year, I had a great time. There were a number of rooms I wanted to get to, but didn't because of the elevators.

My favorite memory was listening to the JM Labs Utopias playing Peter Gabriel. I thought his choir was right there in the room with me. I also enjoyed the Outlaw room - knew I was going to wait for the 950, and almost bought the Divas once I heard them in the room next door (and with the Outlaw 1050).

I for one am glad I waited for the 950, and can't wait to see what they come out with next. Will they announce anything at the show?

For those who have not seen Episode II yet the Samsung company will be giving out tickets on a first come first serve basis for the Saturday screening at the Ziegfeld across the street.

Also the Yamaha company will be giving away free sennheiser ear bud headphones to the first hundred visitors each day.

I will be there Friday morning.

I'll be there Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. I plan to make a stop in Outlaw's room (on the 6th floor) if I have to walk up the stairs to get there.
