Just checked the Model 950 gallery , and there is a picture (quick shot, not one of the pro pictures) of the 950's remote. For everybody on the reservation list, take a second and go introduce yourself to the remote you'll be getting one day soon. After-lunch followup: the February newsletter has also appeared on the site now, if you want to read it in full HTML glory. ------------------ Gonk[This message has been edited by gonk (edited February 13, 2002).]

Thanks for the heads-up. I believe I can get by without the LCD. This is more remote than I anticipated would be supplied at this price point.

Nice,Very Nice,I could be wrong but it looks like they backlit the logo at the top.I will check with Scott. The remote my H/K came with had the hole for the display covered up,so it would not of been very hard to use the hole to back light the logo.I hope they did

No, slick would be if the cowboy actually rode around on the top of the remote when you pushed a button. And lit up.

I'm not sure if an animated cowboy on top of the remote would qualify as "slick" or "frightening" I bet it would entertain the cats to no end, either way... ------------------ Gonk

I have the SL-9000 now from another processor and the area where they have the logo is a small LCD screen that shows the current source and tells if you are in punch-through mode or not.
I really love this remote. I prefer it to the LCD's that I have had as I can feel the buttons in the dark that I need without looking at the screen. In a completely dark room, even the light from a LCD screen can be quite bright and distracting. But that's just nit-picky.

I, too, prefer remotes with actual buttons as opposed to LCD displays. The LCDs are more flexible, for sure, but it just doesn't feel like a remote anymore. I don't like the idea of controlling my HT with my PDA, which is basically what some of the more advanced RCs have turned into. Not that it's a bad thing; it's just not my preference.

The only thing that they left out is that infamous green button, but hey you cant have everything.(ha-ha)From what I have read of those links on the Beta testers you posted I think I can live with just the preamps green button and SOUND THAT JUST ROCKS as the MC12 guy put it.I wish reservation had went in a little bit sooner now.Oh well ,better later than never.
