I'm not sure, but if you've heard people having problems driving SV Subs with a receiver I suspect that I know why. Most SV Subwoofers are unpowered (they require a separate amp, unlike many subs that come with a built-in amp). Those are pretty hefty subs, and I'm sure that most receivers would not have enough power in their amp sections to drive one. Being a pre/pro, the 950 has no amp section, so you would need to get separate amplification for an SVS (which is what a sub like that should have anyway).

The LFE signal can't drive the amp? Woah. I haven't ever heard of that one. I know the 1050 has sub trim control, which might help. I don't think anyone around here has had trouble with SVS and the 1050, so I would expect the 950 to be similar.

Gene, I just looked at this thread briefly (still reading through it). It appears to be partly due to the amp being used (the Samson S1000) and some receivers. Seems pretty isolated (a few Denon and Onkyo users, maybe some Yamaha users), and near the end of the thread there became some question as to whether many of the complaints were just incorrectly set up or people expecting the impossible. I wouldn't anticipate it affecting the 950.

I'll bet at least 1.2 volts. That's what the Model 750 requires for full rated output. What are the specs for the 1050, should be similar.

ok now were getting somewere so you think the 950 should be about 1.2 volts output at the sub out if so that should be plenty
