Sorry; The exact date I received the email was 02/06/2002 at 4:06 PM. I hope the info was not in confidence! Oh well, too late now!!!!!!!!!
On another note; A close friend told me their was a roomer about a HiFi buying club that could get a great price on 950's when they are released!?!?!???? This seems highly improbable to me but have any of you 'guys' heard anything like that? My money is still with Outlaw in any respect!

That rumor sounds pretty dubious to me. Unless it was a club of Outlaw owners who would all be getting the "family" discount anyway or a club of beta testers who get the option of paying half-price to keep their beta units, I'd consider it highly improbable. I'd ask for some proof to back that rumor up...

If Atlantic Tech is going to retail a re-branded 950 for $1700, Outlaw can't afford to knock much off their $900 price.

I am a new outlawee and I too am waiting for the 950. Can someone answer the question of whether the 950 will at least be comparable to the Anthem avm-2? I ask because I have the oppurtunity to purchase the avm-2 for about $1300. Just curious. Thanks in advance for the reply.

The AVM-2 has some advantages in I/O, but more limited DSP features. Take a peek at this chart for some specifics of the differences in features between the two. As for the sound of the AVM-2 vs. the 950, it's anybody's guess.

Gonk; I concur with your take on the discounted club price. The only way I see this as a possibility is if a club directly contacted the actual manufacturer and bought directly from them. The question would be what face plate would be used? I will get my friend to enquire further. I am still on board for the 950! I cant even imagine a price much less than what Outlaw is asking! I have built components from scratch, and it would most probably cost ME more than 1000$ to build a 950 from scratch with an existing B/P!
