Do you know if they have updated crossover schematics for the focal kit? I was checking into it, but noticed one of the drivers (7k4411)was no longer available, but what looked like a newer version of the driver was.

Also, how are the plans that come with the kit?

Congrats on your speaker purchase! I like B&W's myself-- so good choice! These days there are a lot of fine speakers out there to choose from- so it can be a tough decision to make. Good listening!

Well I have a pair of nOrh speakers. They're the SM 5.1s make from synthetic marble. Cost for these were $500.00 a pair delivered to my door. I've had these speakers for a couple of months now and must say I really like them a lot. They have a very clean, open sound that I would describe as natural sounding. They're a very detailed speaker. I looked and listened to speakers for several months and had decided I was going to buy Arial Acoustics Model 5s for Monitor Audio Gold Reference 10s ($1800 and $1500 respectively). I like the Norhs better than the MA and almost as much as the Arials (I certainly wouldn't pay the $1200 difference to get them. The nOrhs play very loud with good bass down to about 50 hz or so. nOrh has a very broad range of speakers and all of them have gotten some excellent reviews on the web and by professional reviewers. They use high quality components for there respective price points. IMO they are a very good value. If you want to learn more about them check out www.harmonicdiscord.com, nOrh has a big following there. They only con I have with the nOrhs is that they are hard to find speaker stands for due to there drum shape.

I'm sure you can still pick up the old woofer, either at Zalytron or parts express. (hopefully), as I still need two to complete my center channel. The plans are very easy to follow. This was my first DIY project. However, I did cheat a little, I had Elliot make the front baffles for me. He did an excellent job. 1.5" thick. I changed mine a little, I didn't use the T/L design, as mine are built into my entertainment center. We did a front port in a 3 cubic ft net internal voume. They sound very impressive.
