OK, my old couch is finally worn out. I want to get dedicated HT seating for my 5.1 system. I've discovered lovanusa.com (~$540/seat) and Lazyboy (~$630/seat). I'm not sure what my wife will tolerate. Anyone have any suggestions? What are the parameters I should be looking at? (I really don't think jumbo cupholders are important but...)

I've got some Berkline chairs, model #090, that look alot like what you are probably seeing at Lay-z-boy. They run about $585 per chair. They can sit within 3" of the rear wall and recline fully. They have a leg rest. To be honest, the recline feature is nice, but the leg rest feature is more important. That is why I'm not particularly thrilled with the Lovan's, though they look nice. The Berklines have a lifetime warranty on the frame and recliner mechanism. They have a 5 year warranty on the cushioning. They have the nifty cupholders and can be ordered, like the Lay-z-boy, in different configurations. Hope this helps.

I just bought 3 Lane Home theater seats. Leather grade A each was $525. They retailed at $1099 each, but you know how much that stuff is marked up. Very good quality (for the money) and good service reputation (the most important feature to me).

Well, with my wife's input we bought Ekornes furniture that is dedicated to home theater use. What can I say? The couch and chair are so comfortable I may park myself in 'em with a copy of "Anna Karenina" for the next week! Here's a url:
