Hi all, I have been trying to record tv shows, but I am unable to. I have everything pluged in correctly(ins and outs.) What is the proper way to record? I have the reciever set on video2(cable), but nothing is recorded? I hope someone can help.
Thanks,
Thomas Hudson

Have you got the VCR set to be on the line in? I've made that mistake before...

Most VCRs can record in two ways:
- Using its internal tuner
- Using the audio/video inputs

If you're recording using the internal tuner, you probably don't even need to have the 1050 turned on. The signal from the cable wall jack or cable box goes directly into the VCR.

If you're recording using the AV inputs, you probably have to change something on the VCR to tell it to use those inputs. Look for an "input select" button.
