Now that's impressive -- reminds me of college. For some reason the engineering lecture halls had desks with these
little work surfaces (not much bigger than a closed textbook), and most of us used HP 48G or 48GX calculators ($100-$200). Almost every time we had a test, someone's HP would slip off the desk or out of their lap and hit the floor -- plastic against tile is a distinctive noise. You'd see every set of shoulders in the room twitch in sympathy at the thought of their HP falling to its doom. Nobody's ever broke, though.
