Does anyone else have this problem?
My 1050 test signal is very weak on the LFE output. All other channels are OK. Calibrating to ARIA test DVD and an SPL meter I can get it right, but using the built-in test signal it's way off. The 1050 sub level was adjusted and the powered sub gain was also adjusted also but to get it anywhere near the SPL reading of the other channels using the test signal it will blow you out of the room. I also tried two other subs and two different sub cables with the same results. I have to disregard the sub test tone and use the test DVD signal instead.

The Avia disk is designed to be used with an 85db reference level. Use that level, and your problem may disappear

That is a very common occurance in some receivers and pre-amps. I am not sure if they didn't use an appropriate frequency level for the lfe test tone or what but my SVS doesn't respond much to the internal test tone either. It doesn't respond to the old Onkyo either.
Like SH said adjusting using Avia or similar is all you need to do!
