I don't know what the component is, but I'll hazard a couple guesses.

1) There aren't enough parts available to sustain production, but there's a stock on hand for maintenance.

2) If cases arise in the future where a warranteed 7100 can't be repaired for wharever reason, a 7125 could be provided as a replacement.
