Having spent more money then I should on my M&K 150s, I have trouble explaining to my wife that I need to buy a amp for three thousand.

So seeing the price and positive reviews on outlaw amps I was thinking this may be a good deal for the price point.

I was just wondering if anyone has expience with M&K 150s and Outlaw 7100 or other outlaw amps. Would this be a good fit?

Any thoughts would be great

One of the beta testers for the Model 950 (RAF) uses M&K speakers like yours, and he drives most of them with a Model 755 amp (you can see his comments on the 755 here ). The M&K 150's look to be a 4 ohm load, which would mean the 7100 would offer you about 165W/channel - which should do very comfortably indeed. I think any of Outlaw's amps would be worthwhile options to consider for your M&K's.

As usual, Gonk hit the nail on the head

My Father has an M&K 5000 THX speaker set up and uses an Adcom 200 Watt 5 Channel THX Amp, model number eludes me right now, as his power source and has absolutely no trouble running his set up.

I personally own an Adcom 100 watt GFA 545 II and I bought it new several years ago. My experience's with Outlaw and Adcom have brought me to this conclusion. After comparing the 545 and 7100 side by side, it is my opinion that any 2 channels of the 7100 are more powerful than the Adcom's, who is no slouch. A 7100 should run your M&K's just fine and a 755, 770 or 7 M-200's will EASILY do the job. laugh wink laugh

I am running the 7100 on M&K 150s for R/L and M&K s125s for the surrounds and "side axis". I have a m200 that I run a M&K s150AC. I have had no problems running louder than I need to.
