Sorry for this post being somewhat off topic.

I was at a home theater store today looking at speakers with some friends and noticed the power line conditions. I was looking specifically at the Monster Signature Series HTPS-7000. Does anyone else use this, or any other, line conditioner? What are your thoughts on a line conditioner in general (should every person have one or are they not worth the money)? Now that I own the 7100 amp, and it's drawing a lot more power than the single receiver that I use too own, I thought a conditioner might be a good idea.

Again, sorry for this being off topic.

Thanks everyone!

Buy it and try it!

I have a Panamax unit and I did notice a difference in my video on a Samsung DLP unit. Check the previous thread:

Surge protection and conditioning

* read the brickwall site on protection and MOV technology used in Monster and most others.

* my thoughts are brickwall (about $200) plus $10 Radioshack protectors for the cable TV connections

* this does some conditioning but some then use a Monster HTS5100 with brickwall.

There are some really nice combo units but over $1k.

Surge Protection and conditioning

I own a monster HTS-3500 MK II and I owned the HTS 5100 for about a week. The only difference that I could find between the 2 was the 5100's cool digital display coupled with its not so cool $150.00 to $200.00 higher price tag.

I have a Samsung Widescreen HD 30" Monitor and both units provided a definite video improvement, but audio was very slight to non-existant.
