I have Paradigm 70p fronts, cc-350 centre and Titan rears. I'm considering ordering the 7100/950B combo, and I'm concerned about the power output. Is the 7100 going to be enough, or do you think I'll require the 770?

Any thoughts are welcome.

I've driven some larger Paradigms (the Studio/60, Studio/CC, and Studio/ADP) with an Outlaw 1050 (65W/channel) and an Outlaw 750 (165W/channel). Based on that, I suspect that the 7100 is sufficient for your needs.

Not as large but my 7100/950 combo handle nicely my Mini Monitor fronts, CC-370, and Atom surrounds.

I think you are going to find that Paradigm speakers, as with many other similar brands like Energy, psb, etc., will sound great with a very wide range of receivers / integrated amps / power amps.

I have a pair of Titans in my kids' home theatre as the front mains, driven by a 100 Watt Yamaha receiver and they (the Titans) love it. I also installed a pair of Titans in a conference room at work where I show the occasional noon movie, and there I drive them with a 30 year old Yamaha 15 W/ch receiver - and they sound just fine as well.

Bottom line is that, except for perhaps a slight increase in perceived output level (on top of already high levels), making the jump in amps is not going to net you an awful lot. Mind you I also believe that if you can get it cheap, there's never anything wrong with having more clean power available to drive any speaker.

The 7100 is a SOLID amplifier and should have no problems getting your Paradigms to earbleeding volumes. I'm running a full Rocket package which aren't quite as efficient as the Paradigms on my 7100 and I'm exceedingly happy with the performance.

I have Paradigm Reference Studio 100s, and CC-570, and the 7100 does a fine job. I set the crossover to my powered sub at 80Hz so that I do not ask too much in terms of bass power from the front speakers.

The 100s are rated down to 28Hz, and I have suspected, though not proven, that 100 watts might not be enough for loud bass-heavy output from the 100s. (Yeah, I find it odd that I treat the 100s as "small" speakers, but that is what seems to work.)
