The carver sound is fantastic!Solid deep dependable, satisfying; all words I would use to describe the Outlaw 1050.The 1050 DACS are for superior to the ones in my Rotel CD player.The 1050 is dream machine!I do hope the outlaws come up with a new reciever to match a new DVD player,I would uprgrade and give my son my 1050,he wants it bad!

Yes I do love the sound of the Carver.. I have had several components and all were great, I could not afford the Sunfire so I bought the 1050 and hope it sounds ok. One nice piece of Carver equipment I have is the is the Digital Time Lens, it connects to your preamp/receiver then to your CD player, and makes the sound of CD's come alive, just like like a tube amp, well worth the money, usually about $75 to $100 on Ebay..
