It isn't cheap, but it is a lot of shipping: each amp comes in its own package, double boxed. Each one weighs 23lbs, and is 22"x18"x8" (I measured mine).

I thought it was too much too, so I bought 6 with 1 free and free shipping...

Interesting topic, so here is my .05 worth...
I just went to Fedex's site, and checked how much it would cost to ship 5 23lb packages with Dimensions of 22"x18"x8" . Fedex was $92.20

Then again, the Outlaws may be using a premium service. Fedex and UPS don't exactly have a sterling record of undamaged boxes, not to mention the damage to what is IN the boxes. Can anyone comment who the shipper was for their product, be it M200, 7100, 755 etc?

I bought the 950/7100 combo and one came FedEx the other UPS. I thought that was strange. They also came from 2 different locations both were in perfect condition so no complaint from me I'm sure Outlaw sets a fixed shipping price to cover the cost difference for those hard to reach(read cost a lot to ship to) locations.

Does the shipping charge from Outlaw change by area? Did anyone figure in the cost of all the packaging materials and the time it takes for their workers to pack them up?

shipping and HANDLING, the handling being the catch all for anything extra they want to charge you for. naturally it does take someone's time to set the item up for shipment (presumably), and different areas cost more, but $70 is a big difference b/n what that guy said and the actual cost.

still better than buying locally though! free shipping now too!

Free Shipping? Where? The august promotion or a specific product? I looked but obviously did not see it!

BTW, I am NOT trying to knock the Outlaws. I just have a bad habit of asking "Why" something is and then seeing if I can solve it/explain it etc.

There was a deal going with shipping for M200's, but that has been replaced by the August promotion (950/7100/LFM, 950/755/LFM, 950/770/LFM). There is also a B-stock special running currently with free shipping on B-stock.

I got my Hsu sub via DHL. I had great service and they were cheaper than FedEx or UPS. Something for Outlaw to consider....
