I'm in the market for amps for my mains, and I was wondering if it was alright to stack these amps, or will they get too hot? Another question quick, with my speakers' sensitivity rating (97dB) will these be too much? Thanks. Jordan

Outlaw recommends stacking no more than three Model 200's, but they can be stacked. If you are just buying for your mains, this would be no problem. ------------------ gonk -- Saloon Links | Pre/Pro Comparison Chart | 950 Review

I am not going to be stacking my 11 M200 Outlaw amps but I will be rack mounting them. Should I put a blank rack mount panel between each amp or is there enough space around the amps for proper cooling?

Eleven? That's quite a collection. The stacking limit is due to accumulated weight more than anything else, but I still think it's best to include a little ventilation space every so often. You might want to verify with Outlaw, but I'd probably tuck in a little breathing room every three amps or so. ------------------ gonk -- Saloon Links | Pre/Pro Comparison Chart | 950 Review

rghinton: what a rack!
Jordan D: If space allows, I would suggest a blank rack space every two amps. That way, each amp has, besides the side panels, a top or bottom panel exposed to cooling air.

I'm planning on buying six M200s to tri-amp my home stereo, and I'd like to rack-mount them. Where can I purchase mounting ears for the M200s? Must they be mounted three-tall (or less) on a tray, or can they be attached directly to the rack rails?

There's some good information in this thread about either using shelves (with three on a shelf) or getting the rack mount ears sold for use with the E1 amp from NHT. Both options have been used by other M200 owners. For half a dozen of them, the two shelves (if you can get ones rated for the weight involved) might be a bit cheaper, but the ears would certainly be a clean approach.
