I absolutely love the pair that I picked up too. I can't comment on just how good the bass gets, as my mains (Mirage OM-5) have powered subs built in with an internal crossover of 200 hz. I can take a guess though. I hooked them up to my Bose 301 (stop laughing, smirking it's the best review I can give now) and there was a good amount of bass present! That was unbelievable. It extends very low, not incredibly powerful, but you know it's there. Now, these speakers still were not in the same league as the Mirage, but I have never heard any Bose speaker sound like that before.
Now I have hooked up the amps to the Mirage and was only able to listen to few minutes. I used Blue Man Group (is there anything better?

) to test them out. The clarity went up a good deal. It was especially noticeable on songs like PVC IV where you can easily identify the individual notes. The sounds after the initial hits were much more finely controlled. They really helped bring out the detail.
