I just got my Model 200 today. I'm very impressed with the amp, although I haven't really given it a workout yet. My only gripe is the insane HISSSSSSS* I'll be using mine to power a 15" sub, and I think it will be a great match-up. Here are a bunch of photos of the amp, as well as the sub it will be powering eventually. http://andreasen.8m.com/Gargantusub/Gargantusub_amp.html The amp is solid, being half transformer! You can see it in a couple of the shots. The front isn't quite as gray as it looks in the pictures (everyone seems to say that...?) Mine is level! Everything about it feels quality - heavy case, thick aluminum front panel, gold plated inputs and outputs. The music sense seems to work as advertised, which is how I'll be using mine. Jason * There is absolutely no hiss present in the system [This message has been edited by JasonA (edited January 16, 2003).]

How big is that subwoofer? Looks like it could handle a couple watts BTW: your website host bombarded me with more pop-ups than I've ever seen at one time.

The sub is a 15" from Lambda Acoustics - "Precision Hand Crafted in the USA". It's a solid beast. RMS power handling is 300W, music 500W, and peak somewhere around 1000W. Its going in a big box and will certainly "rumble my jumblies" - and with any luck, the neighbors' as well.
Freeservers used to be a pretty decent free hosting site. I just used to get a lot of emails from them. Just recently they have changed things, and now I don't get the emails, but there are about 20 pop-ups. I'm told there is a way to disable it with a few lines of code, but I'm too lazy to look into it. I'm also too cheap to pay for a real site.
In any event, the model 200 is a nice piece of equipment, and I can't wait to get it into action.

Wow, I never got so many pop-up ads from a single page load. I got through two pictures before I decided the popups were taking over and quit Thanks for posting them anyway. I might check them out later when I have more time to clean my screen as I view.

Ok, I think I have the pop-ups under control now. I changed the link in the original post, and now everything is organized on a single page. You'll still have one pop-up that could get a little annoying, but it shouldn't take over the entire computer!
Jason
BTW - sorry about the crappy pictures. I had to shrink and compress the pictures quite a bit so I could get them uploaded from my dial-up at home. If anyone wants a higher resolution shot of anything, let me know.

I thought _your_ pictures were fine: I think my eyes went blurry zapping all those pop-ups though [This message has been edited by soundhound (edited January 16, 2003).]

Check out this link for a pop up stopper that seems to really work well. You can pay for it or get a stripped down free version. I use the free version and LOVE it. It even has a bypass (hold down CTL when clicking) for windows you want to have pop up. It also puts an icon next to the clock so you can toggle it on and off. Takes a little getting used to remembering you have it (some pages never come up because they are told to open a new window) but once you do, life is MUCH happier. BTW, I didn't get a single pop up window checking out the pics with the link above.

I also had no trouble when visiting the site with Phoenix (a "bare essentials" version of Mozilla) -- it struggles with some multimedia-intensive sites that are coded with IE in mind, but for ~95% of the sites I've been to it's rendered the pages just as well as IE. I've still got IE around, but use Phoenix most of the time. ------------------ gonk -- Saloon Links | Pre/Pro Comparison Chart | 950 Review

Nope, no pop-ups for me, either. I'm using an older version of Mozilla.

Nice pics. Jason. Your right on about the rack panel “ears” here’s a link to the ones NHT sells for their A1 amp which is a 200 M clone or is it the other way around? It’s the center pic called E – 1. (Sorry that link didn't go to where it should have so I deleted it.)
No price though. My pervious post of the NHT manual shows how to install them. And guess what Jason? NHT also uses it to drive a sub or two. You must have had inside info. Just kidding. But you might be interested in the NHT hookup to their subs (also in the manual).
Yes, that Hissss problem. The only one I’ve noticed is in the 950 posts I’m reading as I listen to beautiful music from my two 200 M’s. And yes there’s also a preamp & speakers but we don’t have to go there.
Thanks Owl’s_Warden for the Popup Stopper link. I installed it before I open Jason’s link and had NO popups. BUT …. I couldn’t open a second IE window …. I should have tried holding down the ctrl key.
Happy listening ….
