I'll have to add this to my sig when I get a bit more time, but thought I'd post a link to something that I've been working on for some time now: a little internet-direct two-channel system . That's right, I picked up an RR2150 some time back and set it up in our dining room, but it's taken me some time to get the rest of the system pulled together - and even longer to write up my thoughts on the overall package. It's a very pleasing setup, and it's been getting quite a bit of use this month. It's also a great looking piece of hardware, and there are a few pics in the review that I think turned out really well. I'll be playing an assortment of Christmas tunes on it tomorrow when we have everyone over for breakfast.

Nifty little system, indeed, but I'm just as curious about the relief on the wall behind it. Is that one of your Dad's? Quite nice…happy holidays, now.

That is one of dad's - it's the first copper panel he did on Horn Island. I've had it since I bought my first house back in '99.

Welcome to the club gonk!
I can't help but wonder, though, if the RR2150 shouldn't have the Oppo sitting directly on top of it.
My RR2150 has always been cool to luke-warm and it's driving a relatively difficult load, 87db 4ohm Totem Arros...so I'm guessing you're probabaly okay.
Merry Christmas! -John

Hey Lizard King. Hope your holiday was cool. The wife and I live in Fort Greene, a neighborhood just up from the downtown area which is rapidly becoming the center of the multi-culti universe. I write that only half facetiously, because the coming stadium for the Nets basketball team is engendering all kinds of (unwanted by us) development. Historically, the neighborhood was known for its townhouse brownstones (like the one we live in; four floors tops, gardens out back), but very soon the skyline will be peppered with hi-rise apartment buildings. Kinda still looking for the silver-lining in it all.
