I finally took the plunge and ordered my 1050 this afternoon.

Though price was just one of the factors that influenced my decision to order a 1050 it was one of the most obvious ones.

After shopping around for a couple of weeks it became clear that it is apparently impossible to get equipment equal to the 1050
anywhere near the price of the Outlaw piece.

Another factor that had a stong influence on my decision was the attitude of the salespeople at the so called "high-end" equipment dealers I visited. Many acted like they were doing me a favor by selling me the equipment I was looking for. I experienced this type of attitude quite a few times while shopping for my car and didn't need the aggravation again.

I know what you mean. I think I have 2 strikes against me because I'm a girl. Met a very nice saleman last night though (so I gave him my money ) He hit just the right 'note'. Answered questions, did not talk down, gave me his opionion when asked for. Left me "ALONE" to listen to my own CD's instead of trying to talk AT ME through the whole thing.
I never owned the 1050 (have the 950 and love it) but everything I've read for months you should be very happy. Have fun!

I have had my 1050 for about six months now and I love it. I believe you will be happy with it also.

Welcome to the outlaws. As a recent purchaser of a 1050 myself I can assure you that it is a wonderful product. I think you will enjoy it quite a bit.

If you havn't read the threads yet on the remote I recommend you do. It has some great programming ability that is not documented in the Manual. I use my outlaw remote to control my entire system now and only need my CD jukebox remote a little at times since it has a two way display that lists all my CD's.
