The "two inputs" part is what will get you here. There's not a way to drive both the high and low portions of your speakers with the 1050 alone (not when using the 1050 to split the signal the way you are, anyway). If you had an outboard amp, you could use the 1050 to drive the highs and the outboard amp to drive the woofers. Be aware, though, that using the 1050 as you describe will give you a mono bass signal from the sub out (don't know if that's a problem or not).
