I just bought a 770amp. The green light in the front is always on for me even though the amp may not be powering the speakers. The only indication I have that my 770amp has powered up is the fact that it gets warm when pumping out sound and stays nice and cool when not operating.

There is never a flicker or change of the green light to yellow or amber. I do not think that is even an option (any more?) on the new 770amps.
