Has anyone had any luck programming the current/new style DirecTV remote to control the 950? Unfortunatley the DirecTV remotes are programmed by an on screen menu that only allows you to enter a code. I mainly would like to have volume control.

I doubt that DirecTV is including Outlaw codes in their remotes - many smaller manufacturers are ignored.

Thanks for the reply Gonk. You are correct DirecTV does not have an Outlaw code. I was hoping somebody found a code for a major manufacturer that worked. Unfortunatley the DirecTV remote can only be programmed via the codes stored in its' memory.

I am ready to purcahse a Logitech 880 univeral remote and have a 950 preamp. Are the Outlaw codes known and/or will it be able to control my 950? If not, there is no reason for me to purchse one. thanks

The 880 can control the 950. I'm pretty sure Harmony has the 950 in their database, but the worst case will be some manual learning of commands to fine-tune things.
