The problem you are describing is not one that I've heard of others running into. If there's no dot on the back, it's probably a blue dot version manufactured after the blue dot revision was added to the design. Even if it's a pre-dot version shipped in April or May 2002, however, it's still in the five-year warranty period - and the warranty is transferrable. You can contact Outlaw and they'll help you work through the problem - and if it means getting the unit serviced, just give them your serial number and they'll take care of it.
