The component video switching on the Model 950 does not include OSD information. This was done because it was extremely difficult to overlay information onto a component video signal without screwing up the video quality. (Even today, nearly all component video switching schemes that allow on-screen menus with component inputs do it by replacing the input with a blank screen behind the menu). To get access to the on-screen menu, use the s-video or composite video monitor output.
Interesting information... Thanks for that, but, there is no point in using the composite or s-video, as the video quality isn't nearly as good as component.

What gonk said My TV has 7 inputs, so I just dedicated one to my 950's OSD. If you've got a fancy remote you could even program a macro to pop your TV into the right input and the Outlaw into menu mode.
