My neighborhood is prone to brief power outages. These can happen a few times a month for no apparent reason. Also, geographically I live in an area with frequent thunderstorms so I'm likely to pull the power cords when I'm home and hear the thunder in the distance.

My question is, are the configurations I perform during setup of the 950 lost when there is a brief power outage (a few seconds to a minute or two) or when I disconnect the power cord during electrical storms? Am I going to have to repeatedly re-configure the 950 because of these conditions?

The 950 should remember its settings for a very long time without power. In fact, my 950 retained its settings through the power outage caused by " Hurricane Elvis " - when we were without power for 10.5 days.

audvid, I recently went on vacation for over a week. Prior to leaving I unplugged all of my AV gear. All of my settings were the same when I plugged my 950 back in and powered 'er up.

later,

My 1050 kept its settings and it was in storage for about 3.5 months when we moved. I realize it isn't a 950, but...

Thanks for the feedback. I've been wondering what would happen under the circumstances I described and never saw it addressed in the forum.

This is now happening to me too. When my 950 was new it did not happen. Is there a battery in the 950 similar to that used in computers to hold the CMOS setup memory?

This is turning into a problem for me. I have experienced three power outages in the last month. I will need to get a UPS if this can't be fixed.

Thanks

You might want to touch base with Outlaw support - there may be something that they can do to help you take care of this (such as a replaceable CMOS battery).
