It never fails. As good as I think my home theater sounds it can always get better. If anyone out there doubts the difference that adding an extra speaker to your 6.1 set up can make - don't.

I hooked up the ole' Polk FX 30s on the back wall to replace the lonely Polk CSI30 back channel and WOW. The sound effects were more fluid and seemed to come from everywhere. Before they were good but I occasionally was too aware of specific effects from the back speaker. That kind of awareness tends to throw me out of the cinema fantasy bubble.

While listening to The Matrix Reloaded and Attack of the Clones I found myself just enjoying the movie and the delicious field of sound I was now wrapped in. I had to remind myself to 'listen'. Always a good sign

Now how about 8.1? Hmmmmmmmm
