From Dolby's website:
"Newer Dolby Digital Surround EX soundtracks contain a digital flag which can automatically activate the EX decoding in a receiver or preamp/processor. For titles released prior to late 2001, however, you need to turn on the EX decoding manually."

Since ET came out on October 22, 2002 I thought they would have figured it out by then. I seem to remember buying my copy very early on. I was hoping someone who had bought a copy later might comment. In the end it's a nit-picky silly thing, but I do want to know
