The coaxial and optical digital outputs are the way to go for video DVD's, but you'll need half a dozen analog audio cables for DVD-A. The only way to play DVD-Audio is to use the six channel analog outputs (as you've read, the DVD-Audio is not output digitally due to copy protection paranoia).
