Hello there. I'm new to the forum and to Outlaw. I am considering upgrading to the 950 from a Marantz AV550 pre-amp with (5) MA500 monoblock amps at 120W. I have two questions.

1. I noticed that the price dropped to $699. Is this a limited time offer and if so how long it is good for?

2. My Marantz amps have a RC-5 daisy chain turn-on system which uses RCA cables. Is there any way to use this system with the 950 which appears to have a mini plug(?). Possibly and adapter plug?

The 950's price drop is a permanent change.

I'm not entirely sure about the trigger system your Marantz gear is using. The Marantz MM9340 and 9360 use a 12VDC trigger that is the same as the 950's trigger, but they also use a mini plug. I couldn't find a manual at Marantz's site for either your pre-amp or your MA500 monoblocks, but I would suggest checking the manuals - if the MA500's trigger is described as a 12VDC signal, it should be compatible with the 950's trigger using an adapter or two from Radio Shack. Outlaw's support might also be able to give you some info on the trigger.
