The information on the 15-1994 remote was a big help, the volume punch thru is a must have.... but the 15-1994 can learn!! Has anyone been able to get the Outlaw's remote to learn?

The 1050's remote is closely related to the 15-1994, but is not identical. The 1050's remote is based on the UEI's Catalyst 48, and appears to not include learning capability.

The Outlaw remote can be made to learn but it involves a hardware fix. If you're comfortable with a soldering iron, all you have to do is solder in a couple of surface mount resistors and it becomes a learning remote.

If you're interested, drop me a line at rob1 (at) rockabilly (dot) net and I'll send you the instructions.

Rob.
