The factory setting for most inputs when receiving a 2.0 signal (either analog, PCM digital, or Dolby 2.0) is ProLogic II C. If you change that setting (such as changing to stereo while listening to a CD), the new setting will be the default for that input and for that signal type.

I'm a new 950 owner and I have a question regarding the above. When I configure a given input to default to PLII-M and then switch to a DD broadcast, the 950 plays in DD which is great. But, when going back to the original channel, the 950 doesn't play in PLII-M, but in PLII-C as per the factory default, or even stays in DD any plays in 2 channel.. I hope I explained this well. How can I configure it to default to PLII-M all the time, for a given input, except for when it senses a DD broadcast?
