The DVD-A10 is a DVD Audio player, correct? In that case, you are much better off connecting the 6-channel analog outputs because that is the only way to get the "real" DVD-Audio output (if you use a digital connection on DVD-A, all you get is a DD 2.0 signal -- part of RIAA-imposed copy protection). If you are using the Technics for movie watching, I will say only that I have been very pleased with the DD and DTS decoders in the 1050.
Are you also using the Technics as a CD transport (digital output to the Krell DAC)? I would expect the Krell to do a better job with 2-channel D/A than the 1050. I prefer the 1050's DAC to the DAC in my old Harman Kardon CD player, but I find the DAC my my Yamaha CDC-775 to have a somewhat richer sound than the DAC in the 1050. I hope that helps some.
