The impact on calibration depends on the "type" of pink noise too. Real pink noise like you would find on the Avia DVD test disk is full bandwidth which means all frequencies from the lowest to the highest possible are included - bass and treble controls will have more influence on overall calibration with this type of pink noise.

The pink noise that the 950 outputs as a test tone (and all other manufacturer's receivers and pre-pros), and that which is on most other DVD test disks, is band limited to an approximately one octave wide band of frequencies centered around 1kHz, which is in the "middle" of the audio spectrum. Since bass and treble controls typically effect the extreme low and high ends of the audio spectrum, their influence on the "measured" calibration would be quite less using this type of pink noise.
