I'd start by checking connections -- the six-channel analog input (and output on the 563A) gets pretty cluttered, and it wouldn't be hard for a cable to be a little loose. Another test would be to connect another source's analog cables to the left and right channels of the six-channel input to determine if there's anything wrong with the 950. The same could be done by connecting the left and right outputs from teh 563A to stereo analog input on the 950 and trying to replicate the problem.
