I'am using the 5900 with the 950. I've tried every thing I can think of but regular cd's seem to only play in mono. Ive tried recordings that i know have mixes that go back and forth between speakers. but not with the 5900. any help would be appreciated. thanks Skip

Please provide more information. How do you have the 5900 connected to the 950? Try using a digital out (Coaxial or Optical) into the 950 and see if you still encounter a problem. Are you sure your speakers are wired correctly, in phase etc.. I have the 5900 connected to the 950 via 6 channel inputs. I bypassed all of the Bass Managment in the 5900 and let the analog 80 hz in the 950 do the work. Mine sounds fantastic with anything I put in it.

I have it hooked up both ways. digital coax for dts movies. and via 6 channel inputs for sacd-dvd-audio I had 950 set to PL-2 and used 6 channel bypass 0n 950 remote, Also tried rl-1 rl-2 outputs of 5900 to cd in on 950 with sterio bypass same result.

I just went thru and checked all my connections. there ok. but I also just realized. that my dish network music channels are also playing mono. I think there maybe something wrong with the 950

Just found the problem I had the subs hooked up incorectly trying to do stereo subs. everything works great! the 5900 and the 950 work great together. thanks for your help. Skip
