I would find it exremely difficult, today, to recommend to any friend or family member a receiver that did not have at least DPL-II. I can imagine that Outlaw is losing far more sales than their market research shows, because of this.

No, Charlie, you didn't dream it. They did announce the 7100, a smaller 7 channel amp, but we do not know any specs on it yet.

So, as I see it, that puts Outlaw into the following 'slots' as far as the 'receiver' market goes:

1050 covers the ~$500 range, but is showing age.
950/7100 covers ~$2000 range
950/770 covers the ~$3000 range

Looks like a hole in the product line to me....
